Mosquito Surveillance Update

Excessive heat during June brought water temperatures up, which allowed for mosquitoes to hatch out of the water faster than normal. For the month of June trap count averages were less than 9 mosquitoes per trap. Areas with higher trap counts were reworked and trapped carefully to monitor trends in population. Year to date, West Nile Virus has not been detected in the pools that have been tested. Please contact manager@tfcpad.org for more information!
